Schilowsky Baustoffe & Baufachmarkt, founded in 1926, is now run as a family business by the third generation. Schilowsky employs 190 people at four locations. The specialist areas: Building materials, dry construction, screed, logistics, professional tools, modern solutions in stone and wood, and garden design. Innovation, future orientation and sustainability are the values on which Schilowsky is built.

CANCOM Austria emerged from K-Businesscom (formerly Kapsch BusinessCom) at the beginning of 2024. The following case study was written before that and therefore the text was left in the original version.

Business Challenge

Until the joint project with KBC, A1 was used by Schilowsky as an ISDN provider. In the course of the reorganization of the company's internal communication, the switch from ISDN to Internet-based communication was an obvious choice. Various general system upgrades were also required in this context. As a more efficient alternative to ISDN with A1, KBC quickly offered itself as a solution partner for SIP telephony - including provider services. One of the challenges during project implementation: analyzing the telephone billing of the respective Schilowsky locations.

Technology
