K-Businesscom expands its cloud cooperation with Microsoft Austria
Vienna, 25.10.2023 - K-Businesscom (KBC) has taken its collaboration with Microsoft Austria to a new strategic level as part of a data center optimization program. The agreement makes KBC an important business partner for the new Microsoft Cloud Region Austria. KBC's customers will benefit from an end-to-end portfolio of cloud services based on KBC's expertise and Microsoft's innovative services.
KBC has already developed new cloud offerings based on Microsoft Azure and is making them available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. KBC is also expanding its offering based on Microsoft products, for example in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and security.
Customized cloud services for Austria
"We are proud to be one of the most important partners for the implementation of the Microsoft cloud strategy in Austria and look forward to working even more closely with the global technology company Microsoft in the future," says Franz Semmernegg, CEO of K-Businesscom AG - a CANCOM Group company since June 2023. "The cooperation agreement is based on years of trusting collaboration. Together, we are pursuing the goal of focusing our cooperation in our home market even more strongly on cloud services in the future."
The new cloud region offers both large companies and SMEs a constantly growing range of new services. KBC customizes the US company's software products for its own customers and offers tailor-made services for the Austrian market. These include computing, network, database, analysis, AI and IoT services.
KBC offers customers access to the Microsoft Cloud Region Austria
with the expanded cooperation, KBC offers its customers access to the Microsoft Cloud region in eastern Austria with local, secure and green data centers. This means that Microsoft Cloud Services can be used with local data storage and the shortest access times in the country. Industrial machine control, critical data center services or important backup and recovery scenarios will thus be possible for KBC customers in the local cloud in the future.
KBC as a sparring partner for the cloud
"Sometimes you have to travel to the USA to bring the cloud to Austria," says Doris Lippert, Global Partner Solutions Lead Microsoft Austria. "As a sparring partner, KBC brings the cloud to Austrian soil and is also a strong partner for topics such as AI, Azure infrastructure and cybersecurity." KBC's expertise in the field of IT security will be used together with Microsoft technologies to better protect companies in Austria against cybersecurity threats.
