We transform for the better!
Since April 1, 2022 under the new company name K-Businesscom (KBC) and with a newly formulated purpose: We transform for the better.
The Kapsch Group can look back on almost 130 years of successful history in technology and innovation. Kapsch BusinessCom emerged from the Kapsch Group as a leading ICT solution and service provider. The "K initial" in the new logo of K-Businesscom (KBC) represents precisely this Kapsch DNA, which the new company is building on.
Today, KBC is a local digitalization partner that combines certified technology expertise with industry know-how as a consultant and end-to-end digital business engineer. The company develops new business models with its customers on its own KBC platforms with IOT, AI and customer-specific software applications. And accompanies its customers on their cloud transformation journey and in setting up smart offices. Its own KBC Cyber Defense Center provides 24/7 protection against cyber attacks.
"The basis for all this is the many years of experience of our more than 1,550 KBC employees as the market leader for network solutions, collaboration, data center infrastructure, security and managed services. We combine this with the technologies and services of international manufacturers such as Cisco, Microsoft, HPE and AWS," says Franz Semmernegg, CEO at KBC, explaining the success of recent years.
"We transform for the better"
"The separation from the Kapsch Group and the new branding fit very well with our new Purpose and Strategy 2030," adds Jochen Borenich, Member of the Executive Board at KBC. "We came from the communications and network sector, then added our managed services. We then moved in the direction of digitalization in order to better understand our customers' processes and build up industry understanding and application expertise. And today we are a software developer. Now we are entering the scaling phase, because it is no longer just about individual projects, we want to scale and build platforms. This means that we are working very closely with other companies in the sense of "cross innovation" and "cross industry". We are entering the next phase of development, which is characterized by our Purpose 2030: We transform for the better. We stands for co-creation and not just for KBC alone. We are companies from different sectors, such as office furniture manufacturer SEDUS or Zumtobel, working together with us. Transform stands for changes in which digitalization is not just an enabler, but becomes a driver. Better stands for sustainable change for the better - socially, ecologically and economically. When we talk about sustainability, we see three elements that need to be taken into account: People - Planet - Profit. We have to take people with us, take care of the planet and, of course, have a sustainable business model. All three aspects are important. What good is a business model that is not profitable? What good is an idea if I don't take people with me? And what use is a business model in today's world if I don't meet environmental standards? We see ourselves as digital business engineers on this journey," says Jochen Borenich, explaining the new KBC strategy.
Franz Semmernegg adds: "This term encompasses several aspects: On the one hand, I am an engineer, which means I have to have technological and architectural expertise in order to be able to implement the ideas myself. On the other hand, I have to be an entrepreneur to understand the business. "Digital" refers to the tools we bring to the table. This combination of consulting expertise, technological know-how, entrepreneurship and digital tools is quite unique and, in our view, necessary. In other words: We design the house, build it and also operate it."
